Experience an exciting industrial history walk on Mellersta Kungsholmen!
You are invited to explore former industrial areas and discover its fascinating history. From porcelain factories to foundries and textile manufacturing, hear the stories of the different industries and see pictures of what the area looked like in the past.
We gather at the memorial stone, Fria Ukrainas plats (Mariebergsparken), where your guide will take you through the history of the area, including military activity and munitions factories. We will walk along the shoreline, discover the Karlsvik area's industrial heritage and continue north to Inedal, where you will gain insight into a former sugar mill, bicycle factory and other businesses.

The company started in 2019 by Stanley Rutgersson a qualified tourist guide for Stockholm in English and Swedish and member of FSAG (Association of Stockholm’s Authorized Guides). We have received the Scandinavian Business Award two years in a row: City Tour Guide of the Year 2023 and Walking Tour Operator of the Year 2024.
Stanley has a deep interest of Stockholm history, and has specific knowledge about the industrial history from mid 1600 to mid 1900.
The company has been working for the larger DMC companies, mainly by welcoming tourists arriving by Cruise ships, and then bring them on a guided panorama bus tour, including visits to museums and tourist attractions, e.g. Vasa museum, City Hall, Royal Palace.
We offer a number of walk tours where historical events and anecdotes are told, while showing important places, buildings and monuments.
Tailored walk tours and event packages can also be arranged.
We enjoy meeting people and learn about different cultures in different parts of the world. Please get in touch.
